It is a participation proposal aimed at young non-professionals between 16 and 30 years old for the creation of an App linked to the celebration of the Fundación Esplai 2016 forum. The Fundación Esplai Forum is the annual meeting of the entity in which young volunteers who have participated in the entity’s programs throughout the year will participate and the awards of the 7th edition of the Fundación Esplai Volunteer Awards will be presented. The event will take place on 16 October at the Matadero Centre for Contemporary Creation in Madrid.
This proposal is within the ConectaCODE line of action of ” Red Conecta” for the promotion of Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics (STEAM, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics in Spanish) competences in the youngest. The “Red Conecta” project is funded by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and Microsoft. For this particular competition, the entity also has the support of Cisco Systems.
Non-professional participants must have approximately 2 months (August and September 2016) to program an app that includes the minimum functionalities and characteristics defined in the competition rules document. The deadline for delivery is 30 September 2016.
Each app can be developed by a maximum of 2 people working as a team.
Only 2 apps will be awarded: one in the Android operating system category and another in the Windows system category. The prize for each will consist of 1,000 euros.
