The young women of the AMA project, accompaniment to adolescent mothers impused by Fundesplai, and their children made a camp stay once the teaching part of the training as monitors was finished and before starting the internship in the summer camps.
The stay took place at the holiday home of La Cinglera, in Vilanova de Sau, on June 17, 18 and 19. The proposal was to offer a camp stay to the young women and their children as a significant life experience.
The AMA is an initiative of Fundesplai, which began in 2014, and seeks to accompany, train and help the upbringing of sons and daughters to young mothers.
A few days of leisure that allowed them to leave everyday life, abandon the burdens for a few days and disconnect. They did it in a holiday setting and within a leisure proposal, because leisure is our “savoir fair” and because it is an ideal space where processes of bonding, construction and significant learning can be generated, while also allowing us to influence in another way the daily life of relationship and bond.
The young people and children have enjoyed these quiet days. Here are some of his opinions:
“It has been very good, I have had a great time, it has been a unique experience with my colleagues and my daughter. I hope it can be repeated one day.”
“The camps have been super good! If they were more days we would enjoy the landscape more, because it is a luxury that children and mothers can enjoy”.
