This Wednesday, April 27, the 11 schools in Castelldefels that are part of the Green Schools Program, have met with the students who are part of the environmental committees of the centers. Fundesplai dynamizes this program of the Generalitat de Catalunya in the Baix Llobregat, among others.
A total of 48 students from 4th grade of primary school to 3rd grade of ESO shared their assessment of the environments near the school with photographs taken by the students themselves. From a selection, 11 positive aspects and 11 aspects to improve stood out. They themselves proposed transformative actions to improve these spaces that they shared collectively at the end of the event. The students themselves will send their proposals to the Mayor and the Department of the Environment and also assume some commitments at school level and as citizens.
Green Schools work to promote sustainability in their centers and in all the actions they develop. In Castelldefels, the following centres form part of this Programme: ESC Can Roca, ESC Torre Barona, ESC Lluís Vives, ESC Josep Guinovart, ESC Margalló, ESC Edumar, Col·legi Frangoal, Col·legi Petit Món-Felisa Bastida, INS Les Marines, INS Mediterrània and INS Josep Lluís Sert.
