From the Fundesplai Pedagogical Commission for Support to Discapacity, we are working with the inclusive hiking project or inclusive circuits in order to bring the taste for hiking to those people who have more difficulties, mainly at the motor level. For this reason, from the Federació Catalana de l’Esplai, the entity of Fundesplai that brings together the esplais, and the Fundació Itinerarium, which develops projects that improve educational and social processes, are working together to draw short, easily accessible and fun circuits that can be suitable for everyone: families, people with disabilities, schools, youth centers, etc.
It is for this reason that this Saturday, March 5, Fundació Itinerarium and Fundesplai have inaugurated the Barcelona circuit (Carmel area, blue circuit) with a Inclusive gymkhanathat has covered the 2.5 km route and with different digitized tests (which have been drawn by the monitors of the commission) and that you can find them by downloading the app “Circuits Game” and “Inclusive circuits”. To make all the proposed circuits, you will need to use these applications. 4 esplais participated in the opening ceremony. The Igualada circuit is already at your disposal, which by the way will open on February 13th!
The opening ceremony was attended by Marc Vives and Eduard Jornet, from the Itinerarium Foundation, and Luci Villagrasa, from the Catalan Federation of Slai, who highlighted the importance of everyone being able to enjoy sport and nature.
The Itinerariun Foundation also presents the projects of Anna Vives, a girl with Down syndrome, who, among other things, has designed a typeface that aims to raise awareness about the abilities of all people.
