Last Friday, February 20, the closing of the course of kitchen assistant for young people was held in Esplugues de Llobregat, within the Tresca Jove program of Fundesplai. The Tresca Jove of Fundesplai, in its current edition, is framed in the Program of Youth Guarantee with funding from the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. The course of Esplugues, in addition, has had the support of the town council of the town. The Tresca Jove has been running since December 2015, with actions throughout the month of February and the completion of the teaching part of the project, scheduled for early March.
A core training has been carried out that has consisted of training modules in: personal and social skills, ICT and languages. Within the specific part: 3 courses for leisure monitors, and two for kitchen assistants. The municipalities where the training is carried out: Gavà, Castelldefels, Badalona, Esplugues de Llobregat and Mataró, and with a total of 125 young people active.
One of the novelties of this year’s Tresca Jove is that for the first time, specific training as a kitchen assistant has been carried out.
Thus, last Friday, February 20 , the people of reference of the Fundesplai project participated in the closing ceremony of the kitchen assistant course, which has been held in the municipality of Esplugues de Llobregat. The young people and the teaching team prepared a tasting thanks to the experience and culinary learning acquired in the course, and the training diplomas were delivered. Representatives of the City Council of Esplugues and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce participated in this event. From Fundesplai we want to thank all the people for the work done and, especially, recognize the active and committed young people in their process of vital empowerment.
