The Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Dolors Bassa, visited the headquarters of Fundesplai in El Prat.

The Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Families, Dolors Bassa, the Secretary of Social Affairs and Families of the Generalitat, Francis Iglesies, and the Director General of Youth, Marta Vilalta, visited this Friday, February 19, the headquarters of Fundesplai, in the neighborhood of Sant Cosme del Prat de Llobregat where its president, Josep Gassó, has detailed the main actions carried out by the entity in favor of children, young people, families and the third sector.
The visit was also attended by Marga García, Councilor for Social Action of the City Council of El Prat. On behalf of Fundesplai, they have also been Carles Barba, Vice President of Institutional Relations, Carles Castells, Vice President of Economic and Financial Management, Anna Romeu, vice-president of Heritage, Environment and Quality, Núria Valls, deputy director general, Carles Xifra, head of the Area of Educational and Social Actions and Programmes, and the members of the Board Rosa Romeu and Miquel Inglés.
During the first part of the visit, the councillor visited CENTRE ESPLAI, headquarters of Fundesplai, where she was able to see the cooking courses for unemployed young people that are being developed these days in the training classrooms of the facility. They also had the opportunity to share the improvement that the commissioning of the southern section of Line 9 of the metro supposes in the access to the equipment, which includes the Parc Nou stop just 5 minutes from CENTRE ESPLAI.
Subsequently, the representatives of Fundesplai explained to Bassa, Vilalta, Iglesies and Garía the main initiatives in the field of social and educational action developed by Fundesplai, a non-profit organization whose action in 2014 reached 203,432 people.
