From the Youth, International and Social Area of Fundesplai, the public tender for the management of the service of the Recreation Youth La Fábrica was presented. A few days ago, the City Council of Salt (Girona) presented the resolution of the competition, confirming the continuity of the management of this Youth Space for two more years by Fundesplai.
From the Youth, International and Social Area of Fundesplai, the public tender for the management of the service of the Recreation Youth La Fábrica was presented. A few days ago, the City Council of Salt (Girona) presented the resolution of the competition, confirming the continuity of the management of this Youth Space for two more years by Fundesplai.
La Fàbrica, a young space in Salt, is a meeting place for young people between 14 and 18 years old. It is open from Monday to Friday from 5pm to 8pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays it opens at 4pm for young people who use the Study Space.
La Fàbrica is a generalist, integrating and open preventive service that is providing an educational and social response to young people in the municipality of Salt, with very diverse profiles and characteristics. The recreational, social and cultural activities that are developed are the instruments that allow the team of three educators to carry out the educational intervention both individually and in groups.
The socio-educational intervention and the programming of activities itself is organized in four axes, conceiving La Fàbrica as a space to educate in and for:
- social cohesion
- participation and commitment
- Empowerment and work on protection factors in situations of risk
- networking and cooperation
In order to continue achieving the objectives and challenges that have been working for a year at the Espai Jove La Fàbrica, a project model is proposed that helps support, advise and accompany young people to influence the causes and specific situations they live, consolidate the space in the municipality as a place of reference in educational leisure activities and, through actions in the territory, networking and community and coordination with the different educational agents, social, cultural and youth, respond to the current needs of the group of adolescents and young people of Salt.
