On 7 April, Caixa Forum in Madrid hosted the ceremony for the “La Caixa” Awards for innovation and social transformation, for projects of the 2014 Social Initiative Project Grant Programme of the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation.
On 7 April, Caixa Forum in Madrid hosted the award ceremony for the “La Caixa” Awards for innovation and social transformation, for the projects of the 2014 Social Initiative Project Grant Programme of the “La Caixa” Banking Foundation.
The event recognized the work of entities that work with an innovative vision and a vocation for transformation in the field of social action at the state level. In total, 35 finalist initiatives were selected from 728 selected projects.
The jury of the awards has recognized this vocation in the AMA project and Fundesplai has been a finalist in the Transformation category. A recognition collected by colleagues Maria Bruno and Remei Saez from the Youth, International and Social Area of Fundesplai, whose displacement was in charge of the “La Caixa” Banking Foundation.
The AMA program, which begins in 2015 with 40 participants, is a proposal for young pregnant women or with children from 0 to 3 years who, due to their situation of vulnerability, need an opportunity to generate a change in their perspective of life and in the focus of their present and future.
The awards ceremony took place in two parts:
First part: At 5.30 p.m. there was a meeting of all the awarded and finalist entities with the aim of sharing the focuses on innovation and social transformation of the respective projects.
Second part: The awards ceremony took place at 7:30 p.m.

- Social Innovation Category Awards: Fundación Privada Ave María, Religiosas Adoratrices Esclavas del Santisimo Sacramento y de la Caridad, Asociación Zubietxe, Fundación Privada Ared and the Federación de Asociaciones Vecinales y Consumidores de Valladolid. Amount: 15.000€.
- Social Transformation Category Awards: Fundación Carmen Pardo Valcárcel, organizacion lenguas y mundos, MeSumaria, Fundación Acuarela de Barrios, Fundación Benefica Maria Raventós. Amount: 15.000€.
