Fundesplai (Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai) received on October 23 the diploma of Sustainable Rural Management of the Consortium for the Development of Central Catalonia and the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and Natural Environment of the Generalitat for the improvement works carried out in theHostel of La Rectoria de la Selva (Navese).
This award is a recognition that is part of the grants of the Leader program that seek to promote the rural world through the cooperation of the different actors. The award ceremony took place at the Castell del Vi in Falset, and was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and Rural Affairs, Josep Maria Pelegrí, and the Director General of Rural Development, Jordi Sala. Anna Romeu, vice president of Fundesplai, and Ester García, manager of the Catalan Association of Summer Camps, collected the award.

A facility at the service of environmental education Fundesplai manages the Hostel of La Rectoria de la Selva since 2008. During this period, improvements were made to the pool, which were complemented by renovations to the second floor and roof, inaugurated on April 21. Efforts are currently being made to obtain more aid to complete the comprehensive remodelling of the facility. La Rectoria de la Selva has a hostel, camping grounds and a nature school, with swimming pool and sports courts, located on a high mountain point under the spectacular cliffs of Busa, in an area of high natural and scenic interest. The facility is a space for meeting, leisure and environmental education for children, young people, families and groups.
