movidic14About 200 monitors of the esplais of the Federation met on Saturday 20 September at the Movidic, the act that begins the 2014-15 course of the esplais where they took stock of the summer campaign, where they highlighted that 4,560 scholarships have been offered, 45% more than the previous year.

The day began with an assessment of the summer activities campaign of the esplais and the first year of application of B612, the biannual educational proposal for conscious and sustainable consumption.

 

More than 4,500 summer scholarships
The balance of the summer explained that during the school holidays, the entities that are part of Fundesplai have carried out 1,485 rounds of camps, camps, work camps and routes with a total of 60,466 children and young participants, which represent 33% more than in 2013. 
Thanks to the collaboration of administrations, entities and individuals, 4,560 scholarships and grants have been awarded to children in vulnerable situations, 45% more than the previous year.

 

More sustainable spLais

Subsequently, it was highlighted that this academic year 2014-15 the B612 proposal will also be worked on, where the campaign stands out as a novelty “More sustainable spLais”, which aims to be more aware of how consumption affects the environment, and carry out actions at recreation, at home, in the city… to move towards sustainability.

Lecture by José Luis Gallego

The Movidic also had the intervention of the environmental journalist José Luis Gallego, A regular contributor to the press, radio and television on nature and environmental issues, he gave a lecture entitled “How can I help the planet?” where he described different actions that can be carried out individually and collectively in order to move towards a more sustainable society.

The final part of the Movidic was dedicated to the training of educators with six workshops: Do we buy it?, about learning to consume; Improve the environment, children’s and youth experiences to improve the immediate environment; Ecoaudit of water, diagnosis of water management at recreation; More sustainable wraps: For the right to leisure, protest action to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Rights of the Child; And you, as you see it, resources to work on interculturality in entities.
