About 80 people, including coordinators, cooks, administrative staff and technicians of Fundesplai (Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai ) who work in schools, participated on Tuesday, September 9, in a conference at CENTRE ESPLAI (El Prat de Llobregat) that served to start the 2014-2015 academic year.
The meeting had the initial intervention of Cristina Rodríguez, manager of School Programs of Fundesplai, and the participation of Josep Gassó and Núria Valls, president and deputy general director of Fundesplai, respectively. In his speech, Rodríguez highlighted the educational importance of the work carried out by all the people who work in the field of the school canteen.
In addition, coordinators, cooks and administrative staff took part in different training sessions that reinforced aspects such as management, food safety, care for food allergies, as well as the new pedagogical project of the midday educational time for this course.
The work carried out in the school environment by Fundesplai is endorsed this beginning of the course by the incorporation of 12 new schools to the midday educational time.
