On April 21, the inauguration of the improvement works that Fundesplai (Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai) has carried out on the second floor and roof of the Rectory Hostel of La Selva, in Riudarenes (Solsonès), was held.
The event, attended by about 200 people, was attended by the Bishop of Solsona, the mayor of Riudarenes and the president of Fundesplai (Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai).
Fundesplai has invested 360,000 euros, from grants from the European Union and the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.

This April 21, Easter Monday, was celebrated the inauguration of the improvement works that Fundesplai (Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai) has carried out on the second floor and roof of the Rectory Hostel of La Selva, in Riudarenes (Solsonès).
The inauguration and visit to the Hostel have been framed within the traditional celebration of the neighbors of Riudarenes, who on Easter Mondays go up to the Rectory of La Selva to hear the mass, which this year has been officiated by the Bishop of Solsona.
Before the religious service, a visit to was made to the house, followed by the traditional singing and dancing of candies.
The celebration, which was attended by the Mayor of Riudarenes, Josep M. Casafont and the president of Fundesplai, Josep Gassó, was attended by about 200 people, including neighbors and attendees at the opening.
Fundesplai invests 360.000 euros
In these improvement works, Fundesplai has invested 360,000 euros, which has been obtained thanks to the LEADER program of the European Union aimed at the economic diversification of rural areas, as well as through the IRPF funds of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.
Fundesplai has been managing the Selva Rectory Lodge since 2008. During this period, it has already made some improvements to the swimming pool and the performance that will be inaugurated on Monday. At present, efforts are being made to obtain more aid to complete the complete remodeling of the equipment.
La Selva Rectory houses a lodge, camping grounds and a nature school, with a swimming pool and sports fields, located in a clear spot in the high mountains below the spectacular Busa cliffs, in an area of great natural and scenic interest. The facility offers a space for meeting, leisure and education for children, young people, families and groups.
