Some 80 young people will take part in this training, support and socio-labor insertion program for young people at risk.
On Wednesday, March 19, at the Cultural Center La Creueta (Hospitalet) was held the presentation ceremony of the 4th edition of the program Tresca Jove promoted by the Fundació Catalana del Esplai with the support of the Obra Social de “la Caixa” and Mútua Madrileña.
About 100 young people from Hospitalet, Sant Boi, Esplugues, Cornellà and Mataró took part in the event, as well as some representatives of previous editions.
Tresca Jove is a program of training, accompaniment and social and labor inclusion in the educational leisure sector, aimed at young people who are at risk.
Since it began in 2010, 205 young people from 17 municipalities in the province of Barcelona have participated in the program and it has achieved excellent results in terms of the social inclusion of the young participants. In the last completed edition of the Tresca Jove project, 27% of the young participants have been linked voluntarily to educational and social organizations in the territory, 20% have joined the labor market, and 16% have resumed their training process.
One of the new features of the Tresca Joven program is the incorporation of the figure of mentors, senior volunteers (many of them are part of the Association Volunteers in Business Consulting – VAE) who advise and accompany the participating boys and girls.
