Strategic framework
The current strategic framework of Fundesplai was created between 2017 and 2019 with the participatory process “Somiem el futur“, in which up to 228 people collaborated. With this process we explored new horizons to move towards a more horizontal organizational model and defined 5 strategic lines that frame our projects and actions.
Strategic lines
From the participatory process “Somiem el futur” we have defined 5 major strategic lines that frame our projects and actions.
1. Prepare the organization for new times and new challenges
We must prepare the organization for new times and new challenges, especially at a time when Fundesplai is expanding by rooting itself in the territory and becoming present internationally. We adopt the network as an organizational model and mobilize strategic leadership, identifying people with leadership capacity in various areas of the organization.
2. Develop the right to leisure “throughout life”
Leisure is an educational, participatory, transformative experience of learning and personal and collective growth of great relevance for the society of the XXI century, especially significant for social cohesion and the construction of an active citizenship. “Esplai” throughout life represents the desire to incorporate the right to leisure, and its transformative intention, in educational areas aimed at young children, families, young people, the elderly,…
3. Promote “The pedagogy of committed citizenship”
Leisure has always become a school of citizenship, of co-responsibility for collective affairs, prominence, involvement and commitment and a necessary instrument for social transformation. We want to rethink and reconstruct more meaningful and vital experiences aimed at young people, with new pedagogical strategies that mobilize and engage them. We reaffirm the leadership of young people and their capacity for action.
4. Accompany and facilitate an organized society that leads transformations
Since the beginning of Fundesplai we have contributed to the strengthening of the Third Sector, with a transformative will, locally and internationally, especially helping organizations to improve their management, gaining effectiveness, scope and impact. We are committed to accompanying Third Sector organizations to strengthen them in their sustainability, management, leadership, alliances, and capacity to do real political advocacy, mobilizing society.
5. Work to strengthen the skills of the citizens of the future
We work for an education capable of empowering people, favoring skills that allow them to apply their knowledge, attitudes and values to make a fairer, more equitable and sustainable world. To achieve this goal, we need to renew and update professional skills and abilities that allow us to constantly advance in the quality of projects. We are committed to competency-based, specific, innovative and high-level and professional training.
