We will explain it on April 28 in this online conference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><a href=\"en\/home\/626-latest-news\/2123-conference-sustainable-school-food-global-challenges-local-solutions\"><strong><em>English version<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-8537\" src=\"https:\/\/fundesplai.org\/test-joomla\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2022\/03\/Alimentacio_Escolar_CAT_ENG_1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"School Feeding CAT ENG 1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"NaN\"><\/p>\n<p>If we want to create a more sustainable food system, school canteens are an excellent starting point. In this day, we will see how different countries and realities are responding to shared challenges in <strong>school meals programs<\/strong>, such as reducing waste, reducing the consumption of animal proteins and increasing the consumption of fresh and local food.<\/p>\n<p>The first part of the event will be based on the presentations of the experts <strong>Donald Bundy<\/strong>, general director Global Research Consortium for School Health and Nutrition; <strong>Geraldine Gilbert<\/strong>, representative (<em>principal strategist<\/em>) of the Forum For the Future; and <strong>Cecilia Rocha<\/strong>, member of the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The round table &#8220;Local perspectives for global challenges&#8221; will draw conclusions from the day with the interventions of <strong>Gemma Salvador<\/strong>, representative of the Public Health Agency of Catalonia, (ASPCAT), and <strong>Lid\u00f3n Martrat<\/strong>, operational coordinator of Barcelona World Capital of Sustainable Food 2021. The round table will be moderated by <strong>Susagna Escard\u00edbul Tejeira<\/strong>, from Fundesplai.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be online and can be followed in Catalan and English (simultaneous interpreting).
