\"Youth<\/a><\/p>\n

In February, 24 young people with intellectual disabilities started a new edition of Youth Inclusion at<\/a> Centre Esplai, an initiative of Fundesplai<\/strong> with funding from the Catalan Employment Service (SOC) and the collaboration of Castelldefels City Council. The objective is to support independent living<\/strong> and promote the socio-labor insertion<\/strong> of these people.<\/p>\n

The first edition of this program was in 2020 and this is already the fourth. In total, 71 young people<\/strong> participated and many found work at the end of the process. Others have returned to the world of training or have been involved in associations and entities. In this sense, 40% have found work in different areas of educational leisure, especially supporting monitors in school canteens.<\/p>\n

Fundesplai wants to contribute with Youth Inclusion<\/strong> to comply with one of the rights included in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of 2006: live independently and be included in the community. For this reason, the program accompanies them in a process of training and socio-labor insertion<\/strong> (work, education, etc.) that should help them achieve this autonomous life.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights of Youth Inclusion is that at all times a team made up of counselors, a psychologist and a job prospecting figure accompany and guide young women.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
