This was the axis of the meeting of the people who make up the educational teams of the entity in the educational centers and that brought together about 200 monitors, cooks and cooks and coordinators and coordinators on Saturday October 16 at Centre Esplai (El Prat de Llobregat).<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-8253\" src=\"https:\/\/fundesplai.org\/test-joomla\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2021\/10\/GRUP-FUNDESPLAI-20211016_web.jpg\" alt=\"FUNDESPLAI GROUP 20211016 website\" width=\"100%\" height=\"NaN\"><\/p>\n<p>The world is currently in a situation of climate, health and social emergency where food plays a fundamental role. On the one hand, the Food and Agriculture Organization has warned that in 2020 about 800 million people are still hungry, while indicating that today 40% of the population is overweight or obese. On the other hand, the agricultural and livestock production system that abuses irrigation, intensive crops, industrial farms, etc. is in many cases an accelerating factor of climate change (<sup>CO2<\/sup> emissions, excessive water consumption&#8230;), impoverishment of nutritional quality for people or food waste, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Fundesplai aims to contribute to improving this situation through:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/projectes.fundesplai.org\/mcm\/\"><strong>&#8220;Eating changes the world&#8221;,<\/strong><\/a> the proposal that was presented to the teams, and which includes a whole series of pedagogical materials such as a website full of resources and activities, a notebook with the foundations and a pedagogical suitcase full of games and stories. All these elements will be complemented by a large exhibition of 1,100<sup>m2<\/sup>&nbsp;, entitled&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/menjaactuaimpacta.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\">&#8220;Menja. Actua. Impacta&#8221;,<\/a> which Fundesplai will inaugurate on November 20, 2021.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-8255\" src=\"https:\/\/fundesplai.org\/test-joomla\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2021\/10\/Fundesplai_mcm_2021.jpg\" alt=\"Fundesplai mcm 2021\" width=\"100%\" height=\"NaN\"><\/p>\n<p>The day included the<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>round table&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;Why does eating change the world?&#8221; <\/strong>&nbsp;with the participation of Gemma Salvador Castell, Dietitian-Nutritionist of the Public Health Agency of Catalonia; and Javier Guzm\u00e1n, Director of Food Justice. Different training spaces were also held to offer educators resources to work with children and young people.
