More than 1,000 activities, 60,000 places and 5,000 grants. These are the main figures that summarize the first balance of the summer activities campaign Fundesplai<\/strong>, still provisional.<\/p>\n

More than 1,000 activities and nearly 60,000 places and 5,000 grants. These are the main figures that summarize the first balance of Fundesplai’s<\/strong> summer activities campaign, which is still provisional.<\/p>\n

These activities include those carried out by the 81 esplais and leisure projects that are part of the Federaci\u00f3 Catalana de l’Esplai and those organized directly by Fundesplai. Technological or language centers, camps and camps in the best natural places, work camps for the recovery of natural areas in Cap de Creus or Les Guilleries, bicycle routes through Menora… A wide range of activities of the best quality that has allowed children and young people to enjoy the summer.<\/p>\n

The campaign “Get the summer right – A summer for everyone!”<\/a><\/strong> stands out for the important effort carried out by Fundesplai to guarantee access to quality summer activities for all children and young people, especially those with the most difficulties.<\/p>\n

For this reason, it has included a scholarship campaign with different elements: the collection of funds that has had the contributions of public administrations such as the Generalitat, the Diputaci\u00f3 de Barcelona, the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, different municipalities such as Barcelona or companies and entities such as Avant Grup – Bardet and the Probitas Foundation, as well as individuals. <\/p>\n

In addition, the Summer raffle<\/strong>, which facilitates the self-financing of activities for families, or the 3rd edition of the Charity Gymkhana<\/strong><\/a>, a recreational and solidarity competition for teams that has raised more than \u20ac 30,000, and that has won the Laboral Support Team team.<\/p>\n

Open in August and September<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the other hand, Fundesplai has also increased the number of activities in the months of August and September in order to guarantee the care of children in the most vulnerable situations. Thus, between August and the first days of September, 11 rounds of camps have been offered, with more than 8,000 places. This figure represents a 27% increase in activities in August and September compared to the previous year. They have been ordinary camps, but they reserved places for girls and boys who benefited from a canteen scholarship during the course.<\/p>\n

Family camps<\/strong><\/p>\n

In “Get Summer Right – A Summer for Everyone!” there was also a space for families. Fundesplai has made available to families their holiday camps and hostels for stays at affordable prices in the best nature facilities. <\/p>\n

The program has made it possible to offer one-week stays in August on a full-board basis for a family of two adults and two children for a price of \u20ac 556. A percentage of the money from these stays has also been allocated to the scholarship campaign.<\/p>\n
